Good advice here. My mother almost drowned as a youngster, so she made sure we all could swim and took water safety/ rescue classes as well.
Closest I came to using it was when my niece got too deep in a pool. The description above is spot on. Luckily, I was very near her, and got her to safey quickly when her mother, my sister saw what was happening. Complete silence after hearing giggling....it was eerie. Never let down your guard when swimming with children, it happened fast.
TRIP: Hold on. You never said anything about feet.
T'POL: Is that a problem?
TRIP: Well, for one thing, I haven't had a shower since this morning, and I know how sensitive that Vulcan nose of your can be.And I'm a little ticklish.Maybe more than a little.
