Picked up my copy of To Brave the Storm today - so excited. But I'm making myself re-read the last one before I read this one. If I'm completely honest - the last one really, really annoyed me with so little of the Enterprise crew. I love Trip, but I'm thoroughly tired of the spy thing. I glossed over large sections of this book because I just didn't care about what happened to Gannett or really, anyone else outside of Enterprise (any of our main characters I mean). I hope that Martin paid attention to some of the criticism of the last book, and tightened up the scope - but we'll see.

Is this the last planned ENT novel? <sobs>

The new book features the Enterprise crew who plays an important role in the Romulan war they're featured in the book alot of great character moments for the crew. And Trip&T'Pol's relationship is futher explored in this book i was happy with the scenes we got but there were alot of unanswered questions about missing scenes near the end of the book I'd wish we seen more TNt scenes had been included in the book. TNt get their Happy ending I want to see a sequel To Brave the storm there's alot of unfinished storylines that needs to be dealt with the founding of thr federation the aftermath of the Earth/Romulan wars Trip&T'Pols relationship what did happen when they returned to Vulcan at the end of the book is kind of a mystery..

Micheal wants to write a sequel To brave the storm and answer the lingering question about what happens to Trip during the battle cheron and how is he reunited with T'Pol and their relationship will be continued in the book if the editors will change their minds. The novel was exciting. I was really happy we got alot of storyarcs wrapped up in the novel. and suprise twists and turns we get continuing storylines from Kobayashi maru characters that pop up again terix/Tevik .Admiral Valdore and Nijil. We also find out the fateof Former Vulcan Minister V'las and alot of contiuity from the different tv seasons of Enterprise as well. :cheering

Just finished it and my initial reaction was that, despite his protests to the contrary, Michael =must= have read at least some of the criticism of BTRW. This one is much more focused and coherent, which meant that despite the multiple plotlines (that were pretty much a necessity) it was a much easier read. I liked it a lot.

I agree that there was a HUGE hole with respect to Trip's exploding escape pod. I felt pretty cheated; honestly, it wasn't necessary to blow the thing up -- shades of TATV, anyone? -- and we didn't even get an attempt at explanation. Until then, despite the fact that I could see the final "twist" coming a while off, I was thoroughly enjoying myself.

I'd like to see the explanation book that MM wants to write as well, but since a lot of press is calling TBTS the end of the relaunch, and since Pocket seems disinclined to take it any further, I'm not going to hold my breath. Instead, I think I'll keep an eye out for the fan fiction. While this was the biggest hole, it by far wasn't the only place that gave ficcers room for expansion. :)

Micheal told me if he gets the chance write a Enterprise sequel To brave the storm,we'll find out, what happened to Trip at the battle of Cheron and the aftermath of what happened to him at the hands of that nasty tal'shiar agent needs to be dealt with. also how was he reunited with T'Pol needs to be explored too. He mentioned to me this is what he wants to write in his next novel. If we can get the editors to change their minds through the letter writting campaign and how well the book sells. i was certainly glad they dropped the the storylines we didn't need like endless about Gannett Brooks I don't like her character and was so glad we had only one chapter about her. The story is focused on the Enterprise crew where needs to be also T'Pau and other Romulan characters..

We needed more Travis, though. Oddly enough, the time that this really got to me was right around the time he showed up....

I was glad we got to see alot more of Hoshi,Phlox and Malcolm in this book. It would've been nice to see more of Travis in this book too.I thought it wa sodd that we get to see Trip's nephew join the Maco's and being put in danger during a fierece firefight with the Romulans and we never found out if he survived the Romulan war.

Anyone else finished reading the book? I still haven't started yet. Still re-reading BtRW. I'd love to read more general thoughts on the book.
