We wished him a Happy Birthday not too long ago. And he wrote us back. And I see he's done that for a lot of his fans this morning. Not a generic shout-out thank you to everyone (which is still very cool because, hey, stars are busy!), but he's replying to individual people. And that's at least a dozen kinds of awesome.

So, here's a thread to share your Anthony Montgomery stories, photos, con memories...and reasons why Travis rules.

I have a new appreciation for Travis due to our re-watch party. He had a whole lot more screen time in season one than I ever remembered. In fact, he gets more action than Hoshi for much of the season. I think A.M. had the unfortunate luck that many of the Travis-centered episodes were just kind of meh, but I think it may have been more the stories themselves than his acting.

Yes! I agree this thread is long overdue. He's such an awesome person at conventions I'm not surprised he's answering fans on twitter now that filming is done. Here's hoping his part in Single Ladies translates to some more work or a series regular role.

I hope his new show will be successful I enjoyed reading his new interview posted at Star trek.com. His Travis character will have a major storyline in the upcoming Enterprise RW novel. The author mentioned it to me a few weeks ago.

As did I!!! I thought it was a mistake or an impostor, but nope! For real!!!

You know, I always thought that Travis was treated badly by some of the fans (no one here, of course). I couldn't understand their reasoning why they thought Travis was a 'Travis, who?' character. Besides season one, where he seemed to have more screen time, season 3 was his shining star. Though he didn't have the screen time, he certainly did plenty with his scenes when he did. The way he came to the rescue in 'The Council', and the time he comforted Hoshi (I can't remember which episode, either The Forgotten or Damage!?!), how he was sort of like Trip's sidekick in Azati Prime (and others). There are other episodes, but for the moment those are the ones that came to my mind immediately! Oh, and I love his struggle to get back to the helm in Azati Prime (after the dome fell). Awesome stuff which gets me every time.

Plus, he's quite sexy. I'll have to go picture hunting...
