The challenge for May is CROSSOVERS -- but not just any crossovers! Participants will be randomly assigned a vintage TV show from the 50s, 60s, or 70s. Shows will be iconic enough that most people will find them recognizable -- no obscure thing that nobody watched and only lasted for 13 episodes or whatever. I will also try to pick things that are easily found on YouTube or Hulu or in reruns somewhere on cable.
Your job is to somehow combine Enterprise with that show, which can be accomplished in the following ways:
1. Tell an Enterprise story in the style of the show you're given. (For example, if CSI were an option, you could do an Enterprise story in the style of a procedural crime drama, using elements that are particular to CSI.)
2. Have the casts of both shows somehow interacting with each other (via a time warp or whatever device you choose to explain these two sets of characters getting together).
3. Have one cast "replace" the other. For example, I did a Star Wars story once called "I Dream of Leia", in which SW was mashed up with I Dream of Jeannie. Han Solo and Princess Leia had taken on the roles of Major Nelson and Jeannie, but they'd kept their distinctive Star Wars personalities, and elements of Star Wars were woven into a Jeannie-style tale (ie, implications that the cruel, evil djinn who'd imprisoned Jeannie in her bottle thousands of years ago was Darth Vader, etc.) .
If you want to sign up, post here. Since I'm moving the last week of the month, I'll take sign-ups until April 30 so I don't have to worry about doing a drawing while packing and unpacking.
Questions? Post those here, too!
Have fun!!
