Can I say one bit of crit? I feel the text is a little low and cut off - especially with the lower hanging letters like 'g' and 'p'. Damn, you know how much of a perfectionist I am. I need to stop doing this.

That's probably because the textbox size fits on the page like that. If you moved it up, the textbox would go off the page? The top of it? Perhaps that's the problem you got?
