Can't Submit a Review

[Misplaced]

I wanted to review Artisticmom's latest chapter of "Only Once" but each time I type it up and click submit I get the following message:

"Rating a story without writing a review is not allowed. You must write a review."

I tried logging out and back in, exiting the story and going back...and still get the same message (and I've not rated anything, just writing a review). Not sure what the issue is.

This is very strange. Let me see if I can figure it out. I'm on the road, so I might not be able to fix it right away.

As far as I know, no one has tweaked the review settings and you aren't supposed to be able to add ratings, since we disabled that feature.

Update:

I just was able to leave a review no problem. I'll need some more information. What browser are you using? What platform? (Mac or PC).

It's definitely a browser issue. I just upgraded to IE9 yesterday. I even tried using the "submit a review" from the options drop-down menu. Still got the same message.

Finally dusted off my Firefox and the review went through with no problems. *shrug* It's irritating, but I can manage around it. (Yeah, I know IE isn't the bestest browser, but I've got it set up just the way I want it and I'm being stubborn about changing. )

IE works better for some things, but efiction likes Firefox. Nevertheless, they are working on a new version - and I'm going to report this to them.

As far as I know, there's no real fix except for using a different browser.

Sorry about that Hummingbird2, we'll upgrade the software with the new version comes out. That might help.

Hummingbird - FireFox is free, and in most situations it runs more smoothly than ie.
