Other: The Expanse
Mainly because it sets up season 3.
Good: Amazing opening teaser.
Bad:
According to Hoshi, Archer and Forrest have been on the phone off and on for quite a while. There are 80 people on the NX-01. They are over 100 light-years from Earth and it's going to take about 3 months to get home. And yet, Archer apparently makes no effort to get details of where in Florida the attack occurred (despite have a his best friend on board who's from Florida).
This might seem like a petty gripe considering the number of casualties, but Archer's first responsibility is the welfare of his crew. He can't do anything about the disaster, but he can do something for his crew. Yeah, SFC is pretty busy, but it would take 30 seconds to assigned an ensign to obtain satellite images of the disaster areas (let's not forget the tsunamis) and transmit them to Enteprise.
Good:
Trip loses his sister, and sheds his "comic relief" persona.
Bad:
Elizabeth should have been introduced to the viewers before she was dead. It's not like the season finale was written a week before it aired. All they had to do was insert a short real-time "phone call from home" into an episode to show (DON'T TELL!!) Trip's big-brother relationship with Lizzie.
Good:
Connor gets to really show his stuff as a dramatic actor, finally!
Bad:
Trip doesn't go to see his family. And even if it was written to occur off-screen, that would be even more unforgiveable. It is preposterous that we know more about Travis' family then we do about Trip's.
Good: T'Pol quits her job.
Bad: Precious time wasted on the "Duras seeks revenge" subplot. Seriously, did anyone really care?
