Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel

I'm a huge Buffy fan, and I shipped both Buffy/Angel and Buffy/Spike - hell, I didn't even mind Buffy/Riley (he was a nice guy, okay?).

One of my favorite episodes is the alternate universe one with Vampire Willow/Xander and loner Buffy.

I think its a great example of a "reset" button episode, in that we see a different vision of the characters. Without coming to Sunnydale, Buffy is more of a typical slayer - a loner, destined to die young. Willow and Xander are very evil vampire versions of themselves. Angel never had to become Angelus again, and he's still searching for redemption. The white hats include Larry!

Now you've done it! Buffy.

I'm very much a Buffy/Spike girl. "You have Angel breath" and "... and there would be oil involved"

And I loved the relationship between Spike and Angel when James Marsters joined the cast of Angel.

LOL Vampire Willow :rolf "Bored now." I LOVED when V Willow and RU Willow met. "Hands!"

The hilarious part is there was no plan for Willow to turn gay when that scene was written. I always thought the bi-nature of Vamp Willow was a homage to Mirror Kira from DS9.

ZOMG!! SPUFFY!!! :greenlove :love :smitten :loveeyes

Spike. Sexiest. Vampire. EVER!!

Love the show. Have all 7 seasons on DVD.

Watched Angel, too, but wasn't as fond of it as Biffy. Though I did like the Angel/Cordelia thing.

Spike was a truly excellent character, and there's a 'ship they weren't afraid to make dysfunctional in the best sense of the word.

Angel took awhile to get on its feet. I liked the last season, when they finally moved toward Wes/Fred and the Wolfram & Hart setting. Spike made a great addition.

But Buffy was good all seven seasons. I love "Hush" as an episode. And I love the early "Halloween" episode when they become the person they've dressed as. As Spike says in that episode "This is really neat!"

When Buffy pounded her chest at Giles and he jumped back I literally fell over laughing.

ME, I'd heard the opposite. I'd read somewhere that Joss Whedon had intended Willow to be bi-sexual because he pretty much had their lives planned out, that he was known for having very detailed overall character arcs.

And that Willow was suppose to get back with Oz but the Lesbian community felt very offended by this and decided to make her a lesbian instead.

Can't remember where I read this so it could have been someone's fevered dream posted in a blog for all I know at this point.

I loved the "Spuffy" relationship because it wasn't perfect. In fact it was as far from perfect as you could get and they had to work towards a stable relationship. Problem is, they left it as that lame ending where she tells him she loves him and his response leaves her real feelings as a question mark.

Not a fan of Angel, but this picture (half way down) from the comics made me realize that Angel is a real possibility under the right circumstances. http://www.thecomichour.com/tabid/247/A ... vesOn.aspx

It's interesting how different writers/producers tell different stories. I had always heard that it wasn't decided on what would happen between Willow/Tara until they displayed serious chemistry in Hush.

I didn't like that Willow went completely gay, since I think it earlier seasons she displayed real feelings and real attraction for both Xander and Oz. I wouldn''t have minded if her sexuality had been portrayed as more fluid. I didn't care for the idea that her previous onscreen feelings were retro-actively made less than legitimate.

It's funny that Joss Whedon decided to please the lesbian community by making Willow 100% gay, but he killed off Tara violently. My understanding is the lesbian community was infuriated by that.

Robin Sachs, who played Ethan Rayne on Buffy and had a role of Voyager, has passed away.

Such a shame. Ethan was a great character, and I'm sorry he wasn't featured more. The Halloween episode was one of the best early episodes.
