Being Human

I have to add this one in. One night I caught this show on BBC America and have been hooked ever since. Syfy's going to make an American version but I don't think I could love it as much as the original.

So a vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost live together in an apartment (no, it's not the beginning of a joke). What I love most about the show is that each character is flawed but tries to overcome them and it's funny when they try. The humor is VERY Whedonesque and the vampire is extremely easy on the eyes.

Anyone else watched this gem of a show?

I absolutely adore this show! George is my favorite.

I haven't seen any this season; I moved before it premiered and I don't have cable any more so I'll have to try to find it online.

But what i like about it is that it's not pretentiously pandering to the goth/Hot Topic crowd, which sometimes I feel supernatural/horror shows do. The show deals with such "normal" roommate stuff and that's so much a part of its charm.

And...is Mitchell just SO HOT or what??? :greenlove

There are 2 complete seasons and the 3rd starts in Dec if I remember correctly. Netflix has the first 2 seasons...

and they are the full episodes and not the confetti American version. The censored eps are fun but the full eps explain a lot more.

Our running joke with the show was that George screams like a girl and shows his bare butt in every ep. By the end of Season 2 we realized that he just screams like a girl in each and every one.

George. One step away from completely unhinged werewolf... I love him.

Mitchell is absolutely fun to just watch him. Happy, sullen, confused, angry... he always exudes sexy :smitten

So SyFy's created a US version of Being Human. Can't see it completely capturing the magic of the show, though. And I feel like it would be a betrayal of the original show if I were to watch the US version. :(

I'll watch it, but I bet they screw it up like they did the US version of Life On Mars.

Sam Huntington as the George counterpart... I am curious. And who am I kidding? I'll watch it, but the biggest problem is that I'm not sure if I can give it a fair try. I know I'm going to constantly compare it to the original storyline and actors.

A few night ago, I saw a full commercial for the American version of "Being Human."

I'm not sure if I like it. I just don't understand why they couldn't just air the original show.
