Gushing, Praising and all that good stuff

Okay, can I just say how much I adore everyone here! Aquarius and I have been overwhelmed at the positive response to this board, the outpouring of creativity in the challenge forum, the civilized live-and-let-live attitude that thrives here.

Yes, there's going to be glitches/bumps along the way - we all see the show, the ships and the Trek-verse differently - but Aquarius and I promise will see to it that this will continue be a place where everyone can be themselves! Imagine, a place where people can agree to disagree, have lively discussions and feed off each other's creativity. We're all fans, and that's what really matters.

Bravo to you all!

You know, the funny thing is, while I was at work today I was actually going to post an "I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!" thread but I got interrupted before I could! :ROFL

Once again, Honeybee, GET OUTTA MY HEAD!! :damnfunny

But I agree with her 100%. This community has far exceeded my expectations, and we're just a scant few days past a month old!! I had no idea we'd grow this much this fast--I figured we'd have maybe 10 members by now.

I will also echo Honeybee by saying that your continued patience and support are greatly appreciated. It's a new way of doing things for all of us. And I'll be honest: Honeybee and I are probably going to make some mistakes along the way, we're going to try things that sometimes won't work. But we'll keep trying as long as everyone else does, too! :thumbsup

I look at the workshop and word prompt threads, and I am truly amazed at the unique and creative and beautiful people we have here. I look at the conversation threads and I can't help but smile at the people interacting who may not have otherwise met. Hell, I was just telling Honeybee the other night that I was so glad that we made this multi-'ship and multi-genre, because if we'd stuck with just TnT, I never would've met some of you and now I can't imagine visiting a board without you! 8)

I love that we can all be on different sides of an issue, but ultimately we know we're on the "same side" in that we're all here because we love Enterprise.

And when you REALLY think about it? By doing what we're doing here, we're actually living what Gene imagined and hoped for all of us...and that's just nothing short of...wow. :cheers :grouphug :thankyou

And bravo to you both as well! :cheers

I, for one, am very glad I found The Delphic Expanse. It's been a wonderful experience, especially with experimenting with my writing. I know I write a lot of Archer/Trip drabbles, but TnT are my favorite couple on the show, so once I get over my fixation with the A/T, I'll try for TnT, although I am doing that with S5, so at least I'm getting my fix there (even though the stories aren't TnT centric!).

Once again, thanks to you both for all your hard work, and a wonderful, well done, job!

:thankyou

:applause

I'll add my gushing. So wonderful to be a part of something so unifying and diverse.

I love being free to love Archer here, as a TnTer. I love being able to see other 'ships.. read fiction I might never have before (Mistress E's Equilateral comes to mind). I love the fun I had writing a Archer/Reed drabble. It's so incredibly freeing.

Most of all, I love that loving other people's work, even Archer/T'Pol stuff doesn't mean I am a traitor to my preferred ship.

It seems like everywhere else you're not a true fan of the show unless you pick apart every detail and talk about how it sucked. I love that I can be a REAL fan just by gushing unrepentantly.

Thank you, thank you so much Honeybee and Aquarius for this haven. And no, I'm not shocked that it's grown as quickly as it has. I believe lots of people have been hungering to come out of the closet and say, "Hey I like the show and all the characters and I really don't mind that people prefer other 'ships than the one I love."

Well, we're glad you like it! 8)

Honestly, we figured we couldn't be the only ones out there who got sick of being afraid of being blacklisted, treated like a Commie Pinko Spy if we dared to comment on the gorgeousness that is Scott Bakula or mentioned that we happened to like a story that had slash. Sometimes it was like McCarthy or something.

(Confession: I wouldn't have minded a pledge of allegiance that went something like "one nation under Trip..." but I guess that's a no-brainer. :damnfunny )

Crackin' myself up here.

But in all seriousness, we gambled that we weren't the only ones who wanted something different, nor did we believe that was localized to the TnT side of the fandom.

I'm glad we were right. :D

Now. ..if we could only get our database set up! :ROFL

We have a site host and are just navigating the glorious world of database installation.

And we might have to wait three weeks for our url to port over - but we're learning stuff all the time. It's easy work to do, knowing there's so many people in your corner.

I totally agree with this. I love multiple ships and it's good to have a place where I can play with them all! :D

Well, I think I've made it clear how I feel. The Delphic Expanse is a haven of creative and tolerant individuals. I have never felt so free to glory in all the aspects of Enterprise. The creativity here is like nothing I have seen before. I was only away a few days and it will take quite a while to catch back up on all that has been produced in that time. Ladies this place is going like a house a fire, :smitten
You should be congratulated for providing this wonderful home for us all.
