Be Thankful For Something Un-virtuous

Postby Honeybee » Wed Nov 24, 2010 5:32 pm

In my Thanksgiving yoga class, the teacher has us meditate on our gratitude for something "un-virtuous".

Yes, it's nice to be grateful for family, friends, food and love. . .but we can be grateful for other stuff, too.

I'm thankful that I own some Felina underwear, my super-soft sheets and mint chip ice cream.

I'm thankful for Blue Bunny birthday cake flavored ice cream sandwiches.

I'm thankful for sushi.

I'm thankful for the "boob sweater" that earns me bigger tips the days I wear it.

ETA: I forgot. I'm also thankful for beer. :cheers Beer good!

I'm thankful for Jolene Blalock. And Cote de Pablo. And Alice Braga. And Donna Feldman. And Noa Tishby. And ...

What? That's in the spirit, right?

I'm thankful for anything chocolate.

And Irish coffee.

And for driving a 20-year-old sportscar that people stare at appreciatively since it still looks so good. :D
Old enough to know better, but that's never stopped me before.

I'm thankful for Hubs doing all the dishes after meat prep AND making coffee while I futz away on the computer

I'm thankful for cocoa and all the wonderful stuff that comes out of it.
I'm thankful for my new pillowcases and curtains: I never ever want to wake up again.
And I'm really grateful for friends who have cars and give me rides so I don't have to spend most of my day riding buses.

Happy Turkey Day, guys.

I am thankful that I have paint in my hair, hubs is in a great "wall paperer-mood", the old house is cold and becomes more empty and the new house is a mess, but it's warm and it feels like home.
