Valentine's Day Fic Challenge Discussion

So, I got my omni-sexual, full playlist Valentine Challenge fic done. I tried to at least reference every song.

Love is Alive

I know more are coming - also feel free to talk about progress! Thanks again, Entallat, for putting all this together.

I'm glad you got your story finished, Honeybee, and I intend to read it -- as soon as I finish mine! I don't want to read yours and think, "Gosh! Wish I'd thought of that for that song."

Fair enough! I just beta-ed one (a one songer) and was like, darn it - that was good! But mine was already in beta, so no temptation to switch it up. It's funny, however, we both decided independently that was a "Malcolm" song and moment! I wonder if others will feel the same!

Good grief, you guys are fast! I know I have some reading waiting for me after the kiddos are in bed tonight.

Mine is looking like an "origin" story... I want to believe that I can keep it down to a one-shot... but knowing me.... ARGH! Multi-chaptered fic, here I {might} come!

You guys are so FAST! I seriously thought we wouldn't see any early fics emerge until about a week before Valentine's Day and a few of them well after. :D But then, we've got an amazing group of writers on the DE. Now I've gotta catch up with everybody on my own challenge! :D

My story had been knocking around in my head ever since I started the Strategy drabbles. I was just looking for the right inspiration and along came the playlist!

I have a question about the Valentine's Day fic. I have selected a couple of quotes to fit into the story, but do you have to quote them literally? With Trip singing in the shower and Phlox doing karaoke, that's no problem, but otherwise the quotes are "sticking out" a bit, because it's poetry, not prose.

I think I can speak for Entallat on this point, slight grammar changes and gender changes and whatnot are totally okay. It's about the spirit of the lyric!
