Broadchurch

This just started running on BBC America here in the states, and I'll I can say is the first episode was totally, completely amazing. It's available online. David Tennet is the star, and I barely recognized him. He uses his own accent, and he looks amazing playing a very brooding and somewhat dark character.

Great stuff.

Ohh, I didn't know this was running stateside now. I saw bits and pieces about it on David Tennant's Facebook page when it was running in the UK, and it looked really good. Thanks! I'm going to go add it to my DVR list.
Malcolm: The radio! Or is it just the galaxy, giggling at us again?
Trip: It can giggle all it wants. But the galaxy's not gettin' any of our burbon!

Also, Arthur Darvill (aka Rory from Doctor Who) also has a pretty big part in this as the local minister/one of the many suspects. I didn't recognize him at first either!

Yeah, his character here is pretty different from Rory. :D

Storyline is pretty engaging. And I love Olivia Coleman.

Olivia Coleman makes this show, as well as her professional relationship with Tennent's character.

TRIP: Hold on. You never said anything about feet.
T'POL: Is that a problem?
TRIP: Well, for one thing, I haven't had a shower since this morning, and I know how sensitive that Vulcan nose of your can be.And I'm a little ticklish.Maybe more than a little.

SORT OF SPOILERS

So, the end has aired in America. I think lots of people in Britain guessed the killer. I didn't really guess, but the thought crossed my mind when Ellie got all smug with Susan and said "How Could You Not Know?" but I really thought it would be Father Rory and I was glad it wasn't.

Comcast had a blurb about Fox doing an American version of this show with David Tennant.
