Crowdsourcing for school assignment: submissions sought

Hi, everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I come seeking your help with my senior seminar project at school. The assignment is a multi-genre project. One part has to be an academic paper, but along with that I have to include two other genres. My subject is participatory fandom, and for my other genres I have chosen to do a fanzine and a photo album.

What I need are submissions to fill these items with! Here are the details:

FANZINE-- I need some really GREAT Star Trek stories and art. Any "generation" of Star Trek is fine. They do not have to be original compositions for the zine, since I am not publishing it or selling it. I am just turning it in for a grade. It will be formatted like an old-school paper zine, but rather than printing it out (which is expensive), I will turn it in as a pdf. I will be willing to give a copy to anyone whose work I use, but that will be the extent of the distribution.

PHOTO ALBUM -- I need pictures of you engaging in participatory fandom -- con photos, costuming, writer collaborations, etc. Basically, the purpose is to show fans having a good time while building meaningful connections with each other as well as honing "legitimate" skills like sewing, painting, writing, etc. I want to show that we've got mad skills and talent! More importantly, I'm interested in photos that have a good story behind them. How has fandom made your life better and how does the photo show that?

If you have questions, feel free to PM me here. Thank you! 8-)

ShannaG, if I have anything that will help, please feel free to use it. However, I would recommend the work of the fabulous manycomics.

Her polished and professional Enterprise work would be sure to get you a good grade

She is a great example of what fanart is all about!
