Watching the news reports and the Weather Channel, I am absolutely flabergasted by the amount of snow that has fallen in such a short time in places like Hartford, Conn. They keep referencing the big storm of 1978. I'm going to date myself here, but I remember that. This one appears even worse.
I do remember in '78 that, at the small college I was attending in the Midwest, the student body was called together and told, yes, there would be enough food in the cafeteria until more supplies could be delivered.

Of course, the college was out in the boonies, about 15 miles from the closest grocery store. I also remember walking on sidewalks that had been cleared, with snowpiles taller than I am on either side.
I hope any of you TDE members near Nemo are all right and taking care of yourselves.
Old enough to know better, but that's never stopped me before.
