I'm a late comer to this series, but I'm addicted as of a few days ago. There must be a few other fans here.

A friend of mine hooked me up with everything so far nearly two weeks ago and I've been watching it non-stop since; I'm presently in the middle of season four. I'm more a fan of the monster-a-week episodes than the overarching plotlines, but since the introduction of the badass angels and the seals and the whole battle of the apocalypse shebang, I've found myself a bit more engaged.

And last night, I even bought this awesome shirt.

I'm resurrecting this old thread. Netflix recently started streaming the show, so I finally decided to see what it was all about. I'm going to be finishing up the fifth season tonight, and I can say that I'm definitely a fan.

I wasn't too keen on the 3rd season arc with Sam--fourth is a little better. But the fifth season is full of so many awesome episodes. I love how they tackle serious stuff (though the brothers do get a tad too angsty sometimes for my taste) and go all the way to the other end of the spectrum to the zany. ("Ghostfacers" anyone?) Good stuff.

Oh, and Castiel is a huge favorite. Great addition to the series.

I've been following this show since the beginning of the second season. While it's not quite as good now as it was a couple of seasons ago, I still love it. Dean's got to be one of my favorite characters ever. My favorite season is probably Season Four.

I think I'm a true gushing fan, lol. I do miss the "monster of the week" feel of the show from the early seasons, but I've been loving these later ones as well. I'm always chomping at the bit for Friday now (well, Saturday for me since I have to watch on hulu--or other means. ;)).

When I started watching the show, I was all about Sam and his sweet vulnerability, but the third and fourth (and some parts of later seasons) kind of cured me of that. I still adore him (and worry for him--it seems the series is all about screwing Sam up and Dean trying to save him), but I'm very much a Dean girl. He had to grow on me though--despite having the best lines in the show. (It's sad, but I'm biased against very handsome men in shows. I guess they have to work extra hard to prove that they have real acting chops instead of being hired because of their looks. I tend to be the same about beautiful women in shows--but not as bad. Yep--hated Trip and T'Pol in ENT initially, too--especially Trip. It's not a conscious thing.)

Anyway! I don't really pick favorites though. I love all the characters and miss the ones who are no longer with us. Except Ruby 2.0. (Sorry, Jared Padalecki--aka Sam! I know she's your wife and just bore your son, but I like Blond!Ruby better!)

I'm rambling. I'm looking forward to tonight's episode with the reappearance of a certain previously offed character. Woohoo!

I've been having major withdrawals lately, as I haven't been able to watch since one of the early episodes of season 7 which seriously made me hate Dean (but I still love him, damn him), but some spoilers and other things have really amped up the tension. I miss it terribly.
