Just checking in to say that I've got the first of three parts finished for HopefulNebula's story. (Turned out to be a three-shot, rather than a oneshot.) I'm already busy at work on the second part, and having a blast. I can't wait to post it!

Re: ARCHIVE Questions!

Postby Artisticmom2 » Thu Mar 29, 2012 2:03 pm

OK. I wasn't sure where to post this as I thought I saw something about this somewhere but couldn't find it...

I am trying to upload a story to the Archives. I can't seem to get it on there no matter what I try. I am using the most current version of Firefox. I have also trying Internet Explorer. I keep getting an "invalid format" message. I have tried copy/paste, upload of the story saved in every version my software allows, I've tried clicking off of TinyMCE.

I remember from the post I was looking for that I should try down grading to an earlier version of Firefox but don't know where to look for that and how to do it. If I do use that, can I get my newer version of Firefox back once I'm done?

What am I doing wrong and what can I do to fix it? Bear in mind I am NOT very computer savy so use small words ;)

Many Thanks in advance...

Artisticmom2, rather than uploading the file from your computer, you could try a Ctrl C copy of the document to the Windows clipboard, then go to the archive box where the story goes and do a Ctrl V paste from the clipboard. I do that all the time because it is the only thing that I can get to work reliably in the archive (even when I was using IE7).
