Hey everyone! Nominations are only open for a few more short weeks. I know a lot of you are busy, but trust me, the sooner you can get them in the better.

If there are stories you already know you like, go ahead and PM them to The Expanse Awards now. You do not have to send them in all at the same time. Even if you PM just one nomination per day, it'll save a lot of work when the zero hour comes--both for you and for compiling the results for voting.

Also, since pieces need three nominations to be eligible for voting, your opinion does count!

REMEMBER: You must PM your nominations to the Expanse Awards account for it to count! Posting them in the Awards Discussion threads either in the awards forum or your 'ship's forum does not count as a nomination!

Yes indeed! We're carefully compiling the nominations, and it is a bit time consuming! So, send those nominations in sooner rather than later.

You can send a "last minute" batch as well.

A few things:

* Only fics archived here are eligible for nomination! If it ain't in our archive, it ain't getting counted. Period.

* PMs should go to the Expanse Awards account, not to the admins.

* Only COMPLETED fics can be nominated.

Also, if your ship has lots and lots of stories (such as TnT) and/or the category has many potential entries (such as best answer to a challenge), we encourage you to nominate more than one story because we're getting very spread out nominations with only 1 entry each, and it requires 3 to make the a ballot. You can nominate as many stories as you like for an award!

In final voting, you will only be able to choose 1!

But when voting comes:

I hadn't forgotten, it is just finding a clear space of time to put it altogether. I'm working on it! I'm hoping to have something sent on the weekend. I'll be away for a few days, possibly until my Friday, then I'll put mine together (what I have so far) and send it!

That's cool! We were just worried about getting a flood before the 1st and mucking everything up!

DID YOU KNOW...?

Nominating your favorite avatars is easy! It looks like a lot of work because of all the code tags involved, especially if you have a lot of avatars you want to lobby for or officially nominate. But here are a couple of shortcuts that worked for me.

1. Open the forum in two different tabs. In one, have the page open that shows the icons you want to nominate. In the other, have open the topic reply or PM that you want to send.

2. Right click on the icon you want to nominate in the first tab. Select "copy image location" when the little menu thingy appears.

3. Paste (ctrl+v or right click/paste) between image tags in the reply window in the other tab.

Done!

What could be easier??? So go nominate and show some artists how much you love their photoshop kung fu!
