Hey, you're welcome. I don't mind at all. Unfortunately, last night's fix was unrelated to the mySQL errors we keep having, so we're not in the clear yet.
Just so all our members know:
Right now we're stuck in a frustrating situation that we can't do much about. The forum, the archive, the upcoming gallery, our website ... everything is hosted by Yahoo.com. We maintain the forum, the archive, etc. but Yahoo provides a managed hosting environment that's necessary to get those all up and running.
Unfortunately Yahoo's own hardware seems to be having some serious problems. When it barfs, or when one of their servers go down, we're affected. Lately the aftermath has been pretty significant, and we're doing the best we can to clean up after Yahoo ralphs all over our floor.
Last night's forum oops was unrelated to all that, so it was actually relatively easy to fix. Unfortunately, it doesn't mean we won't keep seeing some occasional problems. Just stay tuned to
the @delphicexpanse Twitter feed (via Twitter, or via the web page if you're not on Twitter) for info if it's down for an extended length of time.
That is ... if Twitter doesn't Fail Whale.
Gotta love technology, cause you can't slap it upside the head until we're all ruled by robots.
