It's just human nature. People will just skim or even entirely skip reading things like rules, FAQs, etc. Maybe they think they already know everything. Maybe think it doesn't apply to them. Whatever.

Regardless, that's the absolute worst thing you can do here. Please save yourself some potential for embarrassment by familiarizing yourself with our rules and the culture we're trying to cultivate by reading these three posts:

For reasons I won't go into, I've been traumatized today.

Need something totally filthy to read to take my mind off my troubles. I mean, the good kind of filthy.

Pairing, genre...it makes no difference.

If you've never read Harbinger by Stub and Joe, I'd give it a go. It's TnT - NC-17 and all that. But doesn't get smutty until the end. Interesting as it was written very early in the series (I think they added the title later).

OT: And thanks for taking the time to comment on Ember, Spark, Flame girlfriend. I hope you were well-reward by the honeymoon chapter. I'm glad you enjoyed it - you know I thought pretty hard about how to carry that whole thing off and wouldn't have been able to do it without you as a sounding board.

I can see many uses for it. Perhaps during betaing or workshopping. Perhaps during a discussion of Mistress Euclid or GroovyGoddess's fics. Perhaps as a mod we'll have to use it. It's the most flexible emoticon we have added!
