Dude, it's been quiet!

There's so much to discuss, too.

We have the beginning of the Xindi Arc, and we have the puppet and makeup aliens - which was a little retro even for the times. And the icky mining colony guy.

You have the MACOs on board, and the beginning of conflict between Hayes and Malcolm. I am sorry Hoshi's good vibes with the MACOs in this episode was never explored.

You have Trip's depression - and wait for it - the beginning of TnT, which was obviously there to give a little light to the dark season. And many of us are oh so grateful!

I love Archer. I do. I really really do, but here we start to get dick Archer full force, and we see that all the way through Home. This has upsides and downsides.

Guest Xindi was kind of cool and weasley sorry he went so soon!

I, too, wish they'd explored more of Hoshi and the MACOs. Maybe they didn't want to have more than one romance at a time going - I get that - but there was some real potential there for Hoshi to have a tragic relationship with one of the MACOs. Throw Reed or Archer into the mix, and they could have set up a triangle, too. Ah, well, maybe someone will write a story about that. (nudge, nudge anyone)

I remember listening to the comment track for this episode, and apparently they never got rid of whatever they used for trellium dust. They were finding bits of it the whole rest of the run of the show - and it was no fun to breath in. So, when people looked uncomfortable, it likely wasn't acting.

It would be very intesting to have Hoshi developing a relationship with a MACO. I think she and Hayes would make a great couple. Maybe that would be a better explanation of the tension between Malcolm and Hayes. That and/or some backgroundstory between those two. That would be very intesting.

What I vividly remember of the episode was the shock the crew felt after the attack and the pain you saw in Trip's face after his sisters death. T'Pol gives Trip a very concerned look when she hear about it.

I thought the Xindi as alien were very interesting, but the thought that four very different species share a common DNA didn't sit well with me. Four different species on one planet or a coalition of planets working together - for me that works better.

The Xindi-arc was a very interesting turn of events, which made Enterprise more interesting. There are a lot of good epsiodes in season three.

Something I've always wondered is whether T'Pol was affected by any trellium dust left on Trip during that first neuropressure session. That gasp she lets out when he hits the right spot is not quite what I would have expected from her. One of my favorite moments from the episode is how Trip tries to cover when she asks if he thought she was coming on to him. It's so funny! First he puts it out there that he would actually jump at the chance if things were a little different, and then he stumbles through the whole, "No, no, no, NO" part. Man I love CT's acting!

Another thing I wonder about is the comment T'Pol makes to Phlox where she says that delicacy isn't something she associates with Commander Tucker. Maybe she's just bickering with him when he's not even there. But I always wondered if she hadn't tried to approach Trip in the past to see how he was doing.

I got used to it, but that was something that I found really jarring at first. Eventually I even grew to appreciate the different agendas of each of the species, but it did require a lot of suspension of disbelief. One thing that I would have found more interesting would be if the less-human looking species (reptiles and insectoids) had been the ones to be more sympathetic to Archer.
