Ryan Reynolds!

When I first saw him, I thought "if Ben Affleck and Jason Lee had a baby in 'Chasing Amy' that's what it would look like." (if you've seen the movie, you'd know why I find this so very funny)

Ok, I honestly can't stop laughing at that.

I simply cannot see Reynolds as sexy since I didn't enjoy all the goofy roles he used to play before he killed vampires and dated Sandra Bullock or something like that. But crystalswolf's Reynold's parentage is spot on... :damnfunny

I know what you mean. I couldn't really see him as sexy either until "The Proposal" but it's more of a guy next door type of sexy. But the nude scene in that movie definitely shifted him from cute to sexy!

I read an interesting Esquire magazine profile of him by Chris Heath - and it basically made him out to be an exceedingly difficult interview.

But I did get a sense they were trying to give him the Tom Hanks treatment. Tom Hanks started out on a goofy sitcom, did some low comedies, action films, and rom coms. . .and then evolved into Tom Hanks.

Ryan Reynolds could do it - he's got charisma to spare.

If Tom Hanks could go from Bachelor Party and Splash to Philadelphia and Apollo 13 and Castaway - it could happen.

It seems many people were cynical about Ryan Reynolds's film, Buried. A lot of people thought it was going to be Tropic Thunder-style plea for awards, but it turns out he gives an amazing, tour-de-force performance.
