So, the trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is out.

Looks great! I confess I haven't seen a HP film since Prisoner of Azkaban, but I might just check this one out.

Now Hubs RARELY ever goes to the theater for a movie (in the last 5 yrs he went to see was Star Trek & Avatar) but after seeing this trailer and the original one, Hubs wants to not only go see it but go on the day it comes out.

When I recognized so many scenes from the book, I got giddy.

One of my cinematic inspirations is the film "Y Tu Mama Tambien" by Alfonso Cuaron, who went on to direct "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban". He was an interesting choice because "Y Tu Mama" is so racy.

And he even borrowed a shot with the three loves from "Y Tu Mama" and recreated it with Harry, Hermione and Ron.

Okay, so I'm wondering how much of the extra info will be in the movie. Hubs found the Harry Potter Wiki and there so so much more info that was left out at the end of the book.

What happened to Luna? What happened to George, the surviving twin? What careers did they pursue?

I've been crossing my fingers for a new book series,
centering around Luna.

Did you read her wiki? I haven't gotten to it yet but Hubs says her future was to become a wizarding naturalist travelling the world, searching for rare creatures. That would definitely make for great stories

Okay, I know it's meaningless but I've always disliked the casting of Luna Lovegood (Evanna Lynch). I've always pictured her as a gangly girl (Lynch is a naturally stocky girl) and because of the description of Luna, I expected unnaturally wide eyes that caused the "surprised" look instead of Lynch always widening her eyes for the effect.

After watching a commercial, I remembered an actress that I thought would have been the perfect Luna (if British). From Spiderman 2, Mageina Tovah.

I've never actually seen Luna portrayed in the films - I stopped watching the films after Prisoner of Azkaban and just kept picturing that actors in the books, which makes me feel like I've seen them.

But you're spot on, CW, Mageina Tovah sure does look like Luna.

Well, I can't say it now because they're men, but when they were younger I always pitied them. I always have in my head the look on Daniel Radcliffe's face when he walked the red carpet of the Oscars (I think it was) after the first Harry Potter movie.

The poor boy looked like he couldn't catch his breath and might burst into tears at any moment while females of all ages were screaming for him. I'm sure the others had similar problems.

Being the age they are now... I don't think it's so much of a problem anymore. ;)
