Okay, I'm going to start posting my STLV pics here. I'll start with the ones I already posted at the other place, but I'll continue in this thread so eventually there will be new ones you haven't seen before. I apologize for not doing this back in August--I really intended to get it all done while the stories were fresh in my mind, but a fandom wank drama unfolded right after I got back and when it didn't take my time, it took my energy.

First up was Walter Koenig. And on the video screens on either side of the stage? They spelled it "Watler".

He was so nice when I went for my autograph. He asked if he could sign in the white border and I was all "You're Walter Koenig--you can sign wherever you want!" And he kind of laughed at that and said "Well I didn't know if you were going to frame it or something" and I was all "I'll frame it to accommodate whatever you do!" Probably thought I was a crackpot. But I was thinking seriously?--you're a big star and *I'm* gonna tell *you* what to do? Nuh-uh!

George Takei was next. I just can't say enough about how entertaining and cool he was!

Casting director Joseph D'Agosta:

I don't remember a lot about this Q and A, except that he mentioned that a lot of the Star Trek cast had already previously worked on another of Gene's previous shows, or shows that D'Agosta had also been the casting director for, like Mission: Impossible.

Okay, I'm only adding to this right now because I haven't had breakfast, so I'm cooking/eating an early lunch and can do this and eat at the same time. After that, though, internet is off and it's back to work on the Sesame Street paper (unless I need to look something up, LOL--in which case I won't be able to help myself and I'll end up here any way :P )

THE GREAT CLASSIC SERIES REUNION:

Hagen Beggs (Lt. Hansen), Bruce Hyde, Barbara Babcock

The highlight of this panel was the last picture: Bruce Hyde sand "I'll Take You Home Again Kathleen" for us! :guffaw: My only complaint: he didn't follow it up with "ONNNNNE MOOOOOOOORE TIIIIIIIIIIIIME!!" :guffaw: :guffaw: :guffaw:[/img]

Oh, did I mess it up? I sorta posted and ran so I could get to work on my paper. (Still working on it, BTW, but I'm pleased with it so far). Thanks for the fix!

Okay. So I need to back up a little bit here, because in my sleep-deprived drive to get the pictures posted, I neglected a bit of the narrative.

The con actually began for me before I even got on the plane. I spotted a woman reading a Star Trek novel, went up to her, and started chatting. "You've gotta be going to Vegas for the same thing I am!" I said. Yep, sure enough. Her name is Mo, and she was traveling with her son, Trevor. We exchanged cell numbers and made plans to meet for breakfast.

I got to Las Vegas and met my roommate, our very own JiNX-01, who' I'd "met" at TrekBBS. She's very sweet! We caught a cab to the hotel, got our room, then went down to the convention center for the pre-registration. We didn't end up getting dinner until 10pm local time--though my body was telling me it was 1am just like back home!

So there we were, at the hotel restaurant, and tired as I was, I was so hungry my stomach was gonna eat itself. And that kind of tired and hungry, you get pretty indecisive when it comes to ordering. Finally I decide on a meat loaf sandwich. When it comes, it's GI-NORMOUS, and kind of drippy--just really hard to eat nicely, you know? So I had to fork and knife it, and JinX and I decided this was called "T'Poling" your food! 8)

Here I am, hamming that up:

This was my second time seeing John DeLancie. He was even more entertaining than I remembered. Someone I don't mind seeing over and over.

LOL I love it! And BTW -- LOVE your hair!! But then, as you are a stylist I should expect no less than awesomeness in that department.

Thanks! It's still asymetrical, but the shaved part doesn't go up as high. Looking at that pic, though, I'm thinking of having it shaved up to the part again, cause that does look badass!

You can't see it, but the wifebeater I'm wearing? Has a skull with a mohawk made out of scissors and it says "I RUN WITH SCISSORS-WHAT DO YOU RUN WITH?"
