Keirsey Temperament Sorter - What personality type are you?

Every few years I take the Keirsey Temperament Test, and I invariably get the same result. I find it pretty accurate.

Here's the test if you've never taken it.

I always come out a INFP, along with Scott Bakula and Helen Keller and Annie Dillard and Wesley Crusher and Deanna Troi and Anne of Green Gables.

I'm an INXJ (the x= half-and-half for both F and T) most of the time, sometimes leaning just slightly more toward inFj.

For anyone who does the KTS, there's a book that explains much more of the Jungian psychology behind it and that goes into far more depth than any of the online tests do to explaining what the typing means, and how it can explain the tendencies towards some behaviors or how people view the world and others: Please Understand Me II: Temperament, Character, Intelligence by David Keirsey. (Most of the online tests tend to come off like a horoscope quiz.)

Oh! I left out Julian Bashir off mine, and I like that one. I should get that book Entallat, because the tests are very consistent for me, when I answer them honestly.

I've always pretty consistently tested as INFJ:

They are, in fact, sometimes mistaken for extroverts because they appear so outgoing and are so genuinely interested in people -- a product of the Feeling function they most readily show to the world. On the contrary, INFJs are true introverts, who can only be emotionally intimate and fulfilled with a chosen few from among their long-term friends, family, or obvious "soul mates."

I am constantly trying to explain this to people who don't understand why I don't like working in client- or customer-facing positions even though I consistently get praised on performance appraisals for my abilities in this area. They don't "get" why I go home exhausted after spending all day doing it...

INTJ, although on the moderate side. Known this for a long time. Never the social butterfly, even in large social events I will find a few people I can pal around with and stick close with them. I find the chaos and noise of too many people very exhausting.

I'm consistently an INFJ, and that passage quoted fits me to a T. People always mistake me for being more extroverted than I actually am, too.

This time around I'm an INTJ. The "T" was pretty moderate compared to my other scores. Last time I took it - years ago - I was INFJ, but the "F" was pretty borderline. It makes sense to me. As I've gotten older I've become way less emotional.

I think it's interesting how many of us here have been INTJ or INFJ.

INFP. I think that's what I got last time I took this test about four or five years ago.
