The Boy is too little to plan Mother's Day activities on his own (he's only 20 months), so he had help. But he and Hubs let me sleep in a bit, and then brought me some cards and breakfast in bed. Then they took me out to a late lunch, and when we came home we settled down and watched a movie together. :)

Mother's Day for me was very nice in an understated sort of way. We didn't do anything special. However, I didn't do anything I didn't want to do, either, and someone else took care of dishes all day. :) Hubby grilled burgers for us for lunch, so I didn't have to fix that meal. And daughter, the child who's artistically inclined, made a card. Now, that's nothing unusual for a lot of mothers, but my daughter is soon to be 19, and majoring in art design. She created a card with a combination collage-painting on it, with a mother and baby cat on it. Very adorable!
Old enough to know better, but that's never stopped me before.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommas out there.... I spent the day between church and gardening... and then night I finished a great book my teen daughter recommended...I did start a roast in the crock pot but since the cooking mojo strikes so infrequently I go with it when it happens - most of the time I cook because I have to not because I want to... I didn't finish preparing the meal, I didn't clean the kitchen, I knit, I read, and played. Relaxing day all around and I got exactly what I wanted. :P

Yes, I know, I'm a bit late, again! However, I do wish, from the bottom of my heart, all our lovely mums had a wonderful, happy, Mother's Day! :hugs

I had such a great Mother's Day. My kids had brought some presents (a card and a rose shaped broche) and made some wonderful artwork! And I got breakfast in bed with those two next to me in bed. I felt so blessed. :cheering
