I saw that! I didn't even know that's where the band name came from. Such an odd bit of rock & roll history there. Very interesting.

Funny, the man outlived most of the band.

So I'm on my way home from my study session at school...about 15 miles from my exit, and the classic rock station starts playing "Freebird." I've had a migraine all day, but I'm kind of an unusual case in that loud music doesn't irritate it further as long as it's music I like--in fact, it often distracts me from the pain so I forget about it. So I cranked it right up...thought of Mr. Skinner...thought of "Body and Katra"...thought of what an amazing piece of rock and roll the song is...

Natch when it was over my head was hurting all over again. But it was a great 9+ minutes.
