This is a fun little icebreaker.

You are presented with a choice of two distasteful situations. You pick which one you think is worse--maybe explain why you chose the way you did. Then, once you answer, you pose two choices for the next person to answer, and so on.

It's fun if it's Star Trek related, but it doesn't always have to be.

I'll start:

What's worse: Being served gagh for dinner, or finding a scabby bandaid in your plomeek broth?

Being a vegetarian, neither of those appeal. But I'm going to go with the band aid - as I would discreetly remove it.

Okay - what's worse:

A date with a Ferengi or a date with an Orion?

Oooh, wanted to play this before bed.

Ferengi. At least if you play with their ears well enough, they may not sell you to the highest bidder.

Trapped in a shuttlepod that does not have enough fuel or oxygen. Which is worse, being trapped with Mayweather or Reed?

Reed. Travis may be a little dull, but at least he doesn't argue much.

What's worse: crawling through alien sewer, or being splattered with Xindi Insectoid egg sac goo?

The alien sewer for sure. Too many varieties of poo.
Which is worse: really screwing up in engineering or the armory, who gives the worst dressing down?

I'm going to go counter intuitive on that and say screwing up in engineering. Reed seems like he would be cold and efficient to rule breakers. Trip, on the other hand, seems less in control of his temper - on the rare occasions when he loses it. I can imagine him yelling.


Which is worse:

Going through Pon Farr without your mate near or being asked to satisfy someone's Pon Farr, when you do not care for them in that way?

I agree that if Trip lost it you'd probably get serious what-for.

I think it would be worse to satisfy the Pon Farr of someone you did not care about. Although neither choice would be pleasant.

Which is worse: Being treated by Phlox's creepy creatures (slugs and eels) or having essence of the male on a cracker?

That's easy - being treated by one of Phlox's creatures. They seem to work. Again, easy choice for the vegetarian.


Which would you rather marry an Andorian or a Klingon?

An Andorian. I think they have better hygiene...and dental plans.

What's worse: cornered by a wild sehlat, or cornered by a targ?

I would have to say the targ is worse only because they look almost rabid.

What's worse: an hour in the agony booth or three days cuffed beside Zoomis on a prison shuttle?
