So, this will be a thread to post random chatty stuff.

I'll start. Forbes.com (via Yahoo) posted an article about the most beautiful college campus:

Amazing College Campuses

I'm happy to report my alma mater is on there, as is the university where I spent my junior year abroad. Although, I have to say I disagree and think the latter is overrated. I am proud (and agree) about my college being there.

Yes, this is an obnoxious brag. :) I choose the place for its campus prettiness. [/url]

Well, I have to admit being partial to Elon. It is a very beautiful old southern campus. Maybe they just didn't visit it

Another campus they missed: University of Alaska at Anchorage. I have not been to Alaska, but several people I know have cited it as the most beautiful campus they've ever seen.

University of Miami is absolutely lovely, and I've seen it with my own eyes. :)

I subscribe to Urban Dictionary's Word of the Day. A lot of times the ones they send are kinda "meh," but every so often they send one that's really funny (I almost typed "runny" LOL) and it's a great way to start the day:

That reminds me of my Mom's habit of referring to every search on the internet as "googling" regardless of what search engine/website she is using.

Mom loves the internet.

Today started out bad and ended up good. Except for the part where I went to four book stores looking for an out-of-print textbook my Behavior Modification prof insists we get.

Ugh.

Here's a random thought:

I'm considering taking a nine month course to become a Kundalini Yoga instructor. I wouldn't ever be a full time teacher - but I think the training would really help me with my own practice and I could pick up classes now and again. But - it's a big commitment.

Decisions, decisions.

Okay, if you haven't seen this, check it out. A radical pastor in Amarillo wanted to barbecue a Koran, and the local Unitarian Universalist Church used twitter and facebook to conjure up a counter protest made of Christian, Jews, Muslims, Atheists, Agnostics and others. When the pastor tried to burn the Koran, a dude ran up and grabbed the Koran off a grill and said "Dude, you have no Koran" and ran off. (Zoinks!)

The hero, a guy named Jacob Isom, has dream. To be interviewed by High Times. I also think he should enter the next Shaggy from Scooby Doo look alike contest he can find!
