A Workshop Idea for Artists...
So, while I mainly use my creative skills for photoshopping and writing, I do draw as well, though I'm pretty out of practice.
I know we talked a little bit about the book, "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain"... I'm wondering if there is any interest in doing an online workshop here of sorts, since you all have inspired me to pick up the pencil again. (BTW, my preferred style of art is cartooning and comic book style -- but I figure learning to sketch real life will only further enhance my very rusty skills)
We could, in order to make it legal, even focus on Trek art for most of the exercises.
My copy is a first edition, given to me by an artist that my mother was dating when I was 7 or 8 years old. So, I have no idea of the author revamped the exercises since then or not.
But I have the book, and I can even announce and post a brief description of the exercises each week (we could do a chapter a week) and we could post our work in this thread.
So, whaddya say, fellow artists -- or even folk who want to learn to draw better? Any takers?
