Let's face, we all have our favorite words and phrases when we're writing. And if we're trying to get a piece finished by a deadline, they can be a "default" that we use without thinking about it. Of course, our dear betas can catch them for us, but if you want to see what you might be overusing before you send it off to be torn apart by your beta, here are a couple of great online tools:

I'll have to try these. I have a tendency to re-use certain phrases. Most of the time I catch it when I re-read what I've written, but sometimes not.
