Hi all,

Jo from the Giggle/Snort awards wanted everyone at TDE to know about them. Here's her email to us:

I’m just emailing you about an awards contest. It’s called The Giggle/Snort Awards and is held every summer. The contest used to be Twilight exclusive, but it has since opened it up to all fandoms and original fiction.

Enterprise is included in those eligible to enter and win and the idea of the awards is to find and reward the funniest stories online. We would really love to have E featured and claiming a spot on the podium this year.

I would be extremely grateful if you could mention the awards on your site and spread word of them.

Thanks for posting about the GSA's, honeybee.

We would really love to have new fandoms involved with the awards this year, and Enterprise is one of them.

Please send in your nomnations @ http://awards.gigglesnort.net/viewpage.php?page_id=6 and hopefully get some Enterprise fics in the voting stage and perhaps the winners podium. :cheering

We've had a couple of Enterprise nominations so far which is really nice. Am looking forward to reading them as I've never strayed into the world of Star Trek fanfic.

Also, Jojo_writes has told me that there is now an Enterprise category at the giggle/snort archive and that they would welcome submissions from our fandom. Some of the awards are only open to stories hosted there!

So just for clarification, is this the kind of thing where you submit your own stories? Or are you supposed to nominate other people's?

You can nominate your own or other people's fics, but only one set (I believe set) of nominations can come from an ISP. So, that boils down to one person one vote.

And this thread might be a good place to lobby for fics you might have nominated.

Some of the awards are for stories only hosted on their site, but they have added a Trek category so people can submit fics there that are also hosted here. (I see that that has already happened).

So, go and give some nomination love to the TDE authors!
