Last year, we hosted a special NaNoWriMo forum - and we'll do it again this year if there is enough interest.
It will be a private forum for participants only.
If you are interested, sign up here!

I'm interested, though if anyone wants to follow me via the NaNoWriMo site you'll need to PM me. I'm doing this via my real name, and I'll keep details here vague, even in a private area of the site.

I'm totally up for the insanity again. (This year, I'm determined to win!)

Cool - I'm going to write a prequel to my book last year.

I'll probably be doing it, I'm planning - for now - to work on my new Ent/Assassin's Creed fanfic during NaNoWriMo, but we'll see how it goes.

I'm considering doing this again. I've only attempted twice before. My only problem is that I feel I don't have any ideas this time around. I guess I have a few weeks to think, at least

I'm considering it as well but totally have no idea what to write. The only time I've ever succeeded was when I hit November 1 with a fairly detailed outline.

So, for those of you who've done this before ... any advice for us newbies? I was thinking that an outline before November 1 might be a good idea, so I'm glad to see that it helped at least one person succeed.

This is only my second time participating. The only advice I have is to write without looking back. I tend to self-edit while I'm writing, and during NaNo, I had to learn how to just go with the flow. It may feel like tripe as you're writing, but tell yourself that you can fix everything wrong in the rewrite later--
after November.

Oh, and write every day. Even if you've got nothing. That's how I got tripped up last year. I had a couple of days off which led to more days off, and I only made it to 23,000 words.
