I'm going to attempt National Novel Writing Month this November. I say "attempt" because I am seriously busy, and November is no exception, but I'm gonna try, anyway.

I'm thinking about an Enterprise theme for my novel, along the lines of an Archer-centric thing. Still working on the details, though.

Anyone else writing for NaNoWriMo next month, Enterprise or not? Support? General NaNo flailing?

Well, I've had a original fic idea running around in my head - that might give me an excuse to start that. Wouldn't give up on my ENT stuff of course, that's like crack.

I wish I had the time, but with school and everything...?

I'm doing an original sci-fi story for NaNoWriMo... and I'm terrified.

I actually have a novel length fanfic that I could have done for it, but I figure that I'd be writing the fanfic anyway, while I've been putting off working much on original work under the guise of still honing my craft through fanfic. LOL

I'm so glad someone made this thread.

I'm attempting NaNo for the third time this year, I've never won, though with everything going on in real life I don't know how inspired I'll be.

I'm contemplating two different stories, both science fiction, but one of them is actually inspired by the events of Terra Prime and could be almost considered an alternate reality Enterprise fic, except I changed all the characters, messed around with Starfleet and heavily edited "united" Earth.

The other idea I rather like more because of the main character and his family dynamic, as it's relevant to my present socio-political interests, but it has left behind the dream that inspired the idea and now I have no plot.

I've wanted to do NaNoWriMo - several times actually - but November is quite possibly the worst possible month for me to try, timewise. In ANY year. And yet ...

50K, huh? I might actually try and do the next two Endeavour fics this way ... although if past experience is any guide, just one of them is going to be about 40K words. Dunno yet.
