So, what is everyone working on?

I've got one story going on - Ember, Spark, Flame - which is a prequel to Family Secrets. It's not going to be very long - but I've been slow with the next chapter. School's started. . .and Aquarius and I have been working on this whole forum stuff. But I've set a goal to get the next chapter done this week.

Oy. Too many things at once.

1) Heading closer to the end of "A Pact with Mephisto." Sent chapter 5 in for beta.

2) "Trip and the Terrific Tardis" An ubercracky ENT/Doctor Who crossover.

3) A couple of story ideas for my AU Switcheroo Series. Basically, someone had given me a challenge to write a story where all the ENT characters were in different ship positions, but still retaining their personalities and skills and (most of their) relationships.

Here's the link if anyone's interested: http://trekwriter151.dreamwidth.org/ The site's got my regular ENT stories, crossovers, and the AU Switcheroo series.

I need a swift kick in the butt to finish the short TnT piece that honeybee was kind enough to beta for me.

I'm also working on:

Speeches: I've been working on this one in fits and starts for FOREVER. Seriously, I think I started this a year and a half ago. It's a set of character sketches and was originally an exercise in just trying to get the characters voices right. After nearly two years of the Twitterfic it's not so much an issue anymore but I'd still like to finish it.

Circle in the Sand: A TnT short that pays homage to all of Trek.

Happy Birthday Captain: A futurefic that may be my first foray into an OC or two.

Shore Leave: this will be the first in a succession of 'adapted from the Twitterfic' stories and a group effort. Once I nail the first draft on this, my co-authors will get a crack at it. Subsequent stories should come a little faster since they won't have as much special work as this one needed.

A Doctor Phlox/request piece: I really like this one but I need to spend some focused time with it to get everything down. The request was to create an angsty story where Phlox had to overcome his Denobulan aversion to touch in order to do some hands-on medicine to save someone's life. I took the opportunity to try to flesh out Denobula itself in this one based on everything we saw in the series. I put it aside for a long while because my choice of angsty situation - a major earthquake - came right before the tragedy in Haiti. I'm dedicating the story to Doctors without Borders.

Enterprise/Stargate Atlantis AU crossover story: This is on hold until I catch up with everything else.

There's also a real swashbuckling fun ensemble one set in the middle of the Xindi mission that keeps sticking around in my head. Maybe it'll see e light of day sometime.

Finally, there's one untitled 'action' piece that I don't quite know what to do with yet.

I just finish a fic about the episode Raijin from T'Pols POV and Raijin's.

I have been working on the second chapter of a story of mine called World of Ice. I had some trouble - lost a scene that I spent hours on working and I had so much fun writing chapter one and people liked it that I was getting cold feet with my second chapter. But the first scenes worked out well - still two scenes to go.

I am also toying with writing a fic partly in Vulcan. I like the language Vulcan a lot and thought of a story teller (thanks to a excellent fic of Crystalswolf) preforming before a Starfleet audience. I don't want to have a whole page in Vulcan that nobody understands. So my biggest problem is how to let readers read the Vulcan and the translation at the same time in a way that doesn't stop the flow of the story. If any one have idea, I would welcom them.

Diligently working on the next chapter of Equilateral tonight. It should be posted in the next few days. It's the pon farr sequence, which is a delicate matter.

Yay! I'm such a fan! Although I will selfishly say don't rush. I haven't been able to read even half of the stories I've been following.

I've been nibbling at the Trip chapter of The Understanding. But life's interruptions and my mind wandering to tastier future chapters are not helping.
