the delphic expanse

In thinking about the recent contests and challenges, as well as the fact that next month we're going to start taking sign-ups for the Second Annual Holiday Fic Exchange, I thought October would be a good month to "clean up our plates," as it were. It's a challenge, but we'll be challenging ourselves to finish up at least ONE fic project this month, depending on its scope.

So folks, look on your hard drives and see where you meant well but ran out of time. Look back through the word prompt threads for something that made you say "Hey, I'd like to do that one!" but you forgot.

Post what they are here, and rely on your fellow challengees for encouragement and support! Think of it like making a New Year's Resolution. After all, we were born in September, so October is kind of like the Delphic Expanse New Year any way!

Myself:

1. First, I intend to finish my smut workshop fic and get the workshop back on track.

2. Next, I intend to write my TV Land challenge fic. Very embarrassed that I haven't touched it.

3. If there's still time by the end of the month, I will write the next chapter of "Body and Katra."

Considering school and work, that's plenty!

This is a good idea!

1. I will finish my August AU challenge. I'm about done with it. I know, I know. I've said that before, but the sucker just kept growing. Don't be surprised if I'm looking for a beta pretty soon, because, really, there's only one or two more scenes to go! I promise!

2. I will write the Reviewer Contest story for asearcher. The timing is such that it's motivated me to finish #1 so I can do this one.

1) I will work more on Shockwaves. I'm currently way stuck on Chapter 3. I will get that done, as well as more chapters.

Nice! This is already what I'd planned to do with October. Here's my todo list:

1) Finish the first of the Twitterfics in prose, "Shore Leave".
3) Get the next one, possibly two, chapters of ToTCs out. I don't expect to finish this one this month, but I'd like the next couple of twists and turns to get out there.
4) Finish and post "Happy Birthday, Captain".
5) Write up and post the short bit I'd mentioned in another thread here.
6) Post the first chapter of "Sins of the Father".

There's more that's unfinished, but I've decided that those will wait until December. These are the ones I want to accomplish before NaNoWriMo - and if I do any fic writing during NaNoWriMo, it'll be the prose versions of old Twitterfics rather than my own stuff.

Okay, here's my list:

1. Exercise 4 of my smut workshop - I am sooooo close to finishing it, it's frustrating...

2. Chapter 5 of my history challenge

3. My AU August challenge - I've almost got it done, well in my head that is!

4. Book 3 of Enterprise S5 - this is proving difficult...

5. Re-edit of books 1 and 2 for Enterprise S5...

6. I sooo want to finish my Pizza drabbles. I'd like to get the climax finished (pun intended! ), so that I can get them beta'd and posted at the Archive.

Now, those are off the top of my head. I know there are more, but this is where I will begin...

Here's my stuff for this fandom:

1). Write HopefulNebula's gift story.

2). Write the next chapter of Dark Echoes.

If I can get those done before November, I'd be insanely happy. Because during November my only project will be my NaNoWriMo novel.

I think my August episode-related fic is close enough to being complete to be able to say I think I can finish that one this month.

Good idea!

1. First I want to finish my drabble-story and get it beta-ed and archived.

2. To my shame I have to admit that I promised to write a story for the March history challenge and I have the storyline, the dialogue in my head, but I haven't put one letter on paper. So I like start working and finishing that story.

3. Maybe a sequel to The Tank? (By popular demand )

Let's see...

a) Finish Chocophoria. It's really close to being finished. One more chappie plus a possible epilogue.

b) Finish my August AU challenge. It's about half done.

c) Kinda sorta sequel for "Trip and the Terrific TARDIS", "Cracks in the Universe"
