So it seems I screwed up and forgot to put up a word prompt for September! Since it's more than half gone now, we'll just do this one through the end of October.

For the benefit of those of you who've tuned in late, here's how it works: Every month (except when I goof!) I put up a prompt, usually a single word but sometimes a short phrase. You write an Enterprise story based on whatever that prompt inspires in your head. Any genre (gen/slash/het), any style (humor, romance, mystery, action, etc.) goes. No minimum or maximum word lengths.

When you're finished, have it beta'd and then load it into our archive. Make sure to put in the story notes that it's a response to the word prompt.

I decided to post just my drabble here in the challenge thread. I may be stretching a little, but I have seen men bewitched by their children . This is an Archer/T'Pol/Trip drabble so be warned.

Bewitching

T’Pol glanced down at the newest members of her family. It was highly unusual for Vulcans to have twins, they seemed to occur more frequently among humans.

While exhausted, the birth went well. The healers had gone, and T’pol was alone with her family. Her husbands wanted her to sleep.

Jon held one of the babies as if she were made of glass. Trip stroked the hair of his other daughter, seemingly amazed at its softness.

Looking down at the small hand rubbing at her breast, T’Pol wonder how two grown men could find themselves wrapped around such tiny fingers.

Oh...to the Em...to the Gee!! lfvoy--it's GREAT! I love it!! It's a very clever use of the prompt, and...Travis is in the house!

I'm still planning to have it beta'ed but there are an awful lot of busy people out there right now. My patience finally ran out, unfortunately, so after reading it out loud to myself three times on three different days, I decided to go ahead. (No, I am NOT hinting at anyone; I have my busy times too.)

Once I've had a chance to fine-tune it, I'll swap the version on my site and post it to the archive.
