Since some of you are new, I'll take it from the top, just in case.

Every month, I give you a word or short phrase. Your job is to write a story based on what that word or phrase inspires. Can be any genre (gen/het/slash), any style (humor, romance, drama, mystery, etc.), or any 'ship (if applicable). The actual word or phrase does not have to appear in the story, it just has to inspire it. There are no minimum/maximum word count requirements.

When you're done writing, have it beta read, and then submit it to the archive. Be sure to label it "March 2011 word prompt" so we know.

Prompts don't really expire at the end of a month. It just helps to keep changing them up, but if you get inspired by an older one or if you need more than a month to complete it, it's all good!

Your prompt choices are devastatingly on point, Aquarius. This is essentially the most perfect prompt for a sequel to the story I'm still working on from the February one. You're going to be keeping me working hard.

And I think you meant "expire" at the end of the month, not "inspire" at the end of the month.

I actually added something to the summary of my fic in the archive. I don't normally do that kind of thing; for me it's usually a done deal once it's posted. But I got a little concerned about the "death fic" warning scaring people off. No one actually dies in the course of the fic, but since Jon and Trip are gone and the story centers around T'Pol's memories of them, I put that warning there just in case.

To tell the truth, I wasn't actually even sure the deathfic warning was necessary, but at the time I thought better safe than sorry.

It's a lovely story, ME! People shouldn't be scared off by the fact that it's the far future and T'Pol is remembering. That's what makes the story good!

admin hat/Perhaps just the "futurefic" warning would be necessary for such a story, since Jon & Trip don't die in the story. It seems to me that they are long gone, and elderly T'Pol is simply remembering fondly. /admin hat

ME, that's a great fic there! Wasn't quite what I was expecting. You really surprised me!

Actually, I have one in the works. The prompt was what gave me the idea of how to structure it. But at this rate, I don't think it's not going to be ready this month.
