Okay, so since some people write slower than others and/or don't want to feel rushed by The Drabble Game - we're going to have a weekly drabble prompt.
I think it will be fun to see everyone taking on the same word for a week. After a week, Aquarius or myself will throw down another word. After that, you're free to write on old prompts, just post them in the JUST BECAUSE thread.
First weekly prompt: Ambrosia

“I think Chef cooked up something special for your birthday tonight, Malcolm. I’d told him I was planning for dinner in my quarters, and he just smiled and said he was sure we’d enjoy it.”
“Are you sure he was referring to the food, love?”
Jon could feel a blush deepening on his cheeks as Malcolm treated him to one of his so-innocent smirks.
“Let’s see what he sent along at least.”
“Mmm… looks like a sort of ambrosia.” Malcolm’s eyes lit up as he tasted it. “With pineapple!”
Jon leaned over to kiss his lover, slowly, deliberately lingering.
“Delicious.”

Steam rose from the plate in front of Trip. Placing his napkin in his lap, he leaned forward and inhaled the aroma deeply.
After such a crappy day in engineering, Trip had been anticipating this meal all day.
“This is pure ambrosia,” he said aloud; his mouth beginning to water.
T’Pol looked at the plate in mild disgust. She quirked an eyebrow at Trip.
“Do you truly believe that the legendary gods of ancient Earth ate poultry boiled in canola oil?”
Grabbing a crispy golden brown breast and taking a huge bite he replied, “If they were smart they did.”

Awwwww. . . . .

. Trip does like his food doesn't he? Very much in canon, that.
