“I have a solution,” said T’Pol. “Plates.”
Trip looked up. They’d been trying to figure out a way to make the cargo bay safe for twenty containers of unstable liquid dilithium.
“Plates of what? Pie?”
T’Pol stared at him. “Not plates of dessert, Commander. Plate tectonics. We should float a floor over a series of positively and negatively charged leuterium plates. The fault lines will create a stabilizing energy field.”
Trip’s brow furrowed, and he tried to think of a reason why the Vulcan’s plan wouldn’t work. Unfortunately couldn’t.
“Logic, Commander,” she said.
“With a dash of imagination,” he replied.
