Inspired by a recent conversation in one of our threads, and the news that Andy Mangels will no longer be writing trek profic due to budget cuts, we're going to start a campaign to support the relaunch novels and other non reboot film Trek books and comics.
Anyone who has appropriate addresses, email or regular mail to write and other ideas, post them here.

That's a useful address!
Right now, I think I'm taking a wait and see attitude toward the profic situation. On the one hand, if they cease taking the factory approach and prune the titles released with an eye toward quality, great.
However, Andy Mangels has certainly made his displeasure know with the current situation. My hope is that they will continue to work with good writers, but with Mangels and Margaret Clark out - I'm nervous.
So, if anyone hears anything, positive or negative, pipe up!

Jamie Costas is no longer listed as the editor of Startrek books at the gallery book site. I don't know who's going to be the new editor for the StarTrek books. But I'm Concerned what this means for the future of the Enterrpise novels and Startrek book line coming out next year.

Would anyone else be up for an executive email carpet-bombing of their offices?

Wow. I couldn't begin to guess what this means at this point, given the success of the reboot film versus the troubling times for publishing in general. I'd definitely expect a shake-up in the line-up of novels. But what that means for the Enterprise line ... I don't know.
