The State of Star Trek Literature is a new thread at Trek Lit BBS. It sounds like something they do on a yearly basis. You might like to respond to the questions or at least check back periodically to see what answers others have posted.

More a general STAT broadcast. I should have put y'all instead of you to avoid confusion. I'm not a member either, but Reanok has mentioned a number of interesting threads there, so I've started to lurk. I saw this and thought it might be worth sharing.

I hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes, but I found another thread on Trekbbs: Future of Trek at Pocket Books http://www.trekbbs.com/showthread.php?t=167854

And by the way, I apologize for the earlier misunderstanding.

Looks like that thread got started by someone who heard about our Save Trek profic campaign from someone who heard about something about it and misunderstood it, or heard a twisted version of it:

A:
There is a nasty rumor running around that the Trek books license will leave Pocket Books at the end of 2012, after almost 34 years. No word on how true this is.. or where it might go.

B:
Where?

A:
Some of the Social Media sites have it brewing.

Even if it's not accurate, at least it's got people talking on other sites about the future of Trek books. The thread has some interesting trivia about the movement of the Trek book licenses - well worth the read.

So here's the $64.00 question:

Should someone go over there and set them straight?

Pretty interesting thread. Answered a number of questions I had. Don't think there's any need to go straighten them out, though. They've already moved on to who owns what/can do what with Dr. Who. Not sure whether to laugh or cry. :?

Newer thread from TrekBBS Lit: Is Enterprise over?

The whys and why nots of whether there could be more Enterprise novels. I kind of had to laugh at the not leaving important ships commisssioned comments as both the USS Constitution (Old Ironsides) and HMS Victory are still commissioned. Not that they'd go out to fight - unless it was each other.

Anyway, enjoy!

I've read that Enterprise book thread there's anew Enterprise book thread asking what happened to the Macos.Intriguing question I'd like to see another novel deal with the Macos and Enterprise novels that deal with the untold stories that happened in the series and after the Romulan war ended.
