My understanding is that B&B never decided who Future Guy was - but were leaning toward him being a Romulan hoping to change history so they would be successful in the Romulan War.

Any thoughts?

I always wondered if future guy was a Romulan I remamber reading an interview witht the actor who played Future Guy he thought the character was a Romulan but since they scrapped the Temporal cold war it will always be a mystery as to what kind of an alien villian who disguised himself so the Suliban didn't know who he was either.

Right. Best left up to the imagination. I just beta-ed a fic that reminded me of Future Guy - if he were a Romulan.

I think Manny Coto said he was going to loop around and make Future Guy a Romulan had the RW happened during the show.

Is he a Romulan? Yes, of course!

Why? Well, because I hated the TCW, but it would make me hate it less if it tied in to the larger Trek mythology.

Could he have been T'Pol's father, perhaps?

Yes, I always thought that Future Guy was Romulan. It still bugs me that TPTB didn't bother to reveal his identity when they wrapped up the TCW.

Really, the answer is - we don't know. But I love the idea that future guy was a Romulan - and all of the TCW leading up to the Romulan War.

Future guy was Trip. Temporal agents grabbed him when he was suppose to have died. He was just trying to set things right
