T'Pol/Cutler

Between rereading "Shakiak--The Director's Cut" for Delphie participation, and a femslash discussion occurring at another board, Honeybee and I were talking about what we thought might be another very plausible femslash 'ship: T'Pol and Cutler.

Both are scientists, and we were exploring the possibility that Cutler's interest in things Vulcan in "Strange New World" could be read as her nursing a girl-crush on T'Pol.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Yes, I certainly thought that if you wanted to put that kind of reading onto it, it would work! Cutler's obviously the open-minded sort, given her interest in Phlox.

Cutler could have been a good female friend for T'Pol, if T'Pol had been willing to fraternize with a subordinate. They worked well together trying to fix up Travis in 2D2N.

I wrote an episode rewrite for 2D2N where T'Pol goes down to Risa and is talked into joining Hoshi and Liz Cutler for drinks. It was actually a TnT story, but now that I think about it, that scene could easily be worked into something...different.

Don't tempt me! I'm trying to get ready for the start of school. (We're old fashioned and start after Labor Day.) In fact, I should be working on the tedious task of scheduling three sixth grade classes right now.

But maybe Mistress Euclid could make T'Pol/Cutler happen in the Girls' Club. :stickpoke

Well, you could certainly give it a try the next time you get a break? That's the cool thing about fanfic. It requires no refrigeration, it doesn't go bad sitting on the shelf.
