Well, this is an intriguing story! At first, I'll be honest, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it (Malcolm coming out with that sort of language?!), but it wsa so well written it really sucked me in, and by the time I'd got to the end I was hooked.
I adore the 'gunslinger with the accent of British royalty' line!
Well, he is British! We have a reputation for cursing like sailors. :) Plus it felt appropriate for the scenario, so I'm very glad you enjoyed it anyway! There are many more adventures to come, I hope you'll give them a try too. Thank you so much for the nice review!

Now that is a great partnership. You have set up a very interesting story and I am glad to hear that more is coming.
This did indeed have a true western flavor to it.
Thank you very much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! More is definitely coming. I just finished a 10,000 word piece set in this universe with more Reed and Archer shenanigans, and a little Tucker for flavour.

That was certainly different! I enjoyed reading it very much. You did a good job on the Americanisms of the era, too. :) The dialogue felt right.
Archer's elixir? Apparently he's in the patent medicine business. That could be interesting backstory.
See what you've done, Mr Smith? You've opened up a whole new avenue of an AU that could be explored. That's what happens when you write such a neat story.
Thank you very much! I had so much fun researching some of the slang of this era, among other things. Trip is a hoot and a half in another part I'm working on. Rest assured, this is barely the tip of the iceberg. I have so many plotbunnies and they're multipling all the time, in amongst several other exciting AU scenarios. I am overwhelmed.

Oh very fun! I love their friendship here, and you do great with the American voice of Archer. He always did look great in Western wear, but we never, sadly, got to see Reed in such garb. Now I am imagining!
It is one of the great disappointments of my life that we never got to see Reed in a cowboy outfit. I cannot articulate my pain. But this is an adequate substitute and I've been having so much fun playing around in this universe. Thank you for reading and enjoying!
