After each one of these stories, I kept thinking I was finished...and then someone would ask what would happen next, and I would find myself staring at the black screen, wondering where the story wanted to go. The characters always came through, giving me hints and getting me started. :)

We saw a little of how T'Pol handled herself post-trellium, but what I really hoped to see--what the show never really explored to my satisfaction--was how T'Pol would cope (or not cope) with the permanent damage to her emotional control. There was that line in "E2" about how Trip became an outlet for T'Pol's emotions...and that's how this story was born. It was at this point that I really began to see how the T/T storyline could have played out, with the conflict coming from their desire to remain steadfast friends, despite their inability to act on their feelings for each other. This was the real romance for me, the emotional core of their relationship.

And yes, Malcolm's cool. I always imagined he could read a situation and be ready to kick butt.
