It's funny, because when most authors approach this period of Trip's life, it's marked by loss. In this series, he loses T'Pol in one form, but he ends up gaining stuff he'd lost before--his friendship with Archer, the ability to remember Lizzie fondly, etc. Life changes, but it's not all bad. I like that.
