Something I really enjoy about this story is that you really do get into T'Pol's head. When reading it, I had the sense that humans were the aliens and Enterprise was a strange, alien place.
One of my favorite parts was where you described T'Pol's perception of the humans' reaction to her. I particularly liked this: The men: streams of energy and tension rolled from them like thunder waves in the desert. They appeared to be strangely intrigued by her. They looked at her and the lines of her body with attention that bordered on rudeness.
Thanks Brandyjane. It was my intent to show how alien Enterprise is for T'Pol and I am glad you thought that came across.

I'm glad this came up on the Random Story! Very well done. I don't have much of a T'Pol Muse but this really struck a chord with me since I read it right after meditating.
I'd never thought before how the actions and emotions from human males would feel to her as a function of her calmness through meditation -- the energy and tension, and their attention to her body. Maybe I'm more attuned to it because I'm in a place of balance atm.
I love that ending scene of her with the pie, and I thank you for taking us on a short journey to get there.
Thanks Kayjayuu! I am very glad you liked the story and the short journey to get to the pie. ;)

I'm sorry it took me this long to review, panyasan. I got way behind on my reading.
This was a great look at what was going on with T'Pol during this time. Her responses to Trip and her new found freedom were enchanting. Aren't we all glad that she decided to stay on Enterprise. (I think she ate the pie!)
What a nice surprise to find a new review. Thanks Bluetiger for your review and your kind words. I also think she ate the pie. ;)

You did a marvelous job of showing T'Pol's thought processes as she took a significant step in her life. The pie certainly seemed to be a metaphor for her decision to stay on Enterprise: tempting, but completely illogical. I was never sure if Trip really opened her eyes to new possibilities or basically just told her what she wanted to hear.
It's too bad that we didn't learn more about Koss in this episode. Is he supposed to be a villain or just a jilted suitor? Would T'Pol have rejected any young Vulcan male, at this point in her life, or did she have some specific reason for avoiding marriage to Koss.
Your descriptions were very well done. I cold almost smell the pie and feel the chill in the room when she awoke. Congratulations on a terrific story!
Thank you, Dinah. Your compliments about my descriptions means a lot to me.

Nice take on T'Pol's view of things. And what tickles me is that we still don't know if she ate that piece of pie!
Thanks! I think she ate the pie. Why take the pie to your room and waste it? It doesn't sound logical. ;)
