So I just caught up on Friday's episode and wondered if anyone here watches the half hour documentary series. It's in its 2nd season, and I'm still blown away. It reminds me of CurrentTV's Vanguard but much shorter segments. It's a glimpse into the many problems of the world and can get depressing, but I remind myself that just because there's so much bad news out there, ignoring it doesn't make it go away.
For those who've never heard of the series, the latest episode (as an example) documented how people in crumbling manufacturing cities steal scrap from long abandoned facilities, and the eventual end buyer of US salvaged metal resources is China. They melt it down to sell back to us or use for their own construction. The other segment was about drone attacks used as recruitment incentive for terrorist organizations.
