I don't know if this is new or a repeat and I also don't know if it is network-wide on PBS, but my station is promoting Downton Abbey Revisited for Sunday night at 7 p.m. It's described as highlights of seasons 1 and 2 and sneak peeks at season 3.

Well, I watched the American premiere. I know that pretty much everywhere else the whole season has aired - but here in the US, those not illegally downloading just got episode one of Season 3.

Being an American, I tend to like the change-oriented characters like Tom Branson and Sybil, Isobel and now Mrs. Levenson. I've read complaints that Shirley McClaine wasn't given enough to do, but I thought she did great with what she had. I loved the picnic.

I've never been a big Mary/Matthew shipper, but those who have been waiting for them to get together will be very, very happy with the first episode.

So...I have finally been sucked into Downton Abbey. Friends of mine had a season premiere party and introduced a couple of us to the show.

I'll likely catch up over the next month via all the places I can watch the old episodes.

Oh, enjoy the first two seasons. The first season is still the best. I always liked the smaller storylines myself.

Lesley Nicol (Mrs. Patmore) on Chicago Tonight. She's in town to perform a one-woman play. If you haven't seen Sunday's (01/27/2013) episode yet, there is a MAJOR SPOILER in this video.

Additional web extra. Did you know there was a Mrs. Patmore doll?

Also, Dame Maggie Smith is beyond awesome.
